Where keywords are placed is important as it is a clue for search engines to identify relevance and importance. Here are a few suggested techniques:
- Place particularly important keywords- those that people are using to search for accounting firms, for example accounting, tax etc- at the top of the website page
- Place keywords into heading tags
- Use bold and italic keywords, as search engines register these
- Keywords in bulleted lists are also registered by search engines
- Use keywords multiple times on the page. For example, in external links, categories or within titles.
