Common questions
What is the subscription period?
Once you have paid for WebStandard, WebPlus, or WebPremium your website will be available online until you cancel your subscription.
Can I cancel my website?
Your website can be cancelled at any time during the subscription period. However, in line with our refund policy we do not provide refunds for the pre-paid portions of your subscription. If you wish to cancel for any reason you must notify us at least 7 days prior to the month’s end (next payment due).
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit card payments (Mastercard, Visa, and American Express) for our website packages. We also take cheque and direct deposit for websites paid annually in advance.
Why are subscriptions paid in advance non-refundable?
Unfortunately it is one of the requirements of our multi-currency merging facility that any annual subscriptions paid up front are non-refundable. If you pay by the month, you are still free to cancel at any time. However the pre-paid portion of your subscription is not refundable.
Why are Your Firm Online websites so affordable?
Our websites are built upon an open source content management system which enables us to create websites with a shorter turn-around time than starting from scratch. This allows us to cut the cost of creating your website.
How much would it cost me to make a website myself?
The estimated cost for you to produce a similar website would be around $1000.00 for website hosting, $2000.00 for design and layout costs, and $2000.00 for research and writing of website content. The approximate total cost of creating and maintaining a website on your own would be $5000.00. Our websites are available at only a fraction of the cost it would take for you to complete yourself.
Why do I need to provide my logo in EPS or TIFF file format?
In order to produce a good-looking website, we use specialist design tools that require a high resolution format. If your logo is a low resolution image, we may need to charge a small fee to change its format. High resolution or larger JPEG logos can also be used. If you have any doubts, just forward your logo to our graphics team at graphics@yourfirmonline.com.au.
Can I have the content specifically tailored to my practice?
You will be able to choose which sections will feature on your website, but not the information that is included within these options. The logo, company name, contact details, list of professional services, and firm profile on the website will be specific to your firm.
Can I edit WebStandard, WebPlus or WebPremium?
We edit your website for you when you require it as part of your subscription. We make a reasonable number of edits to websites as standard. However, only those on the WebPlus or WebPremium packages are able to edit specific pages of their website.
How will I know when my website is ready?
We will contact you by telephone and email before your website goes online so that you can access your website and ensure that your firm details are correct and up to date.
How do I redirect visitors from my old website to my new one?
You can leave a message on your old website with a link to the new website. Alternatively, you may transfer your original domain name to us, which will enable us to automatically redirect users.
How can I find out if my website is listed on search engines?
To learn if your website is listed, go to the search engine (eg Google) and search for your web address. If you are listed, your website will be returned in the results. Our content collection processes are designed to optimise your search engine rank.
What happens if my firm details change during the subscription period?
If your contact details or list of services needs to be updated, we will change your information for no additional cost. If further editing is required, you may be charged a small fee.
Can I move my website?
Unfortunately, you cannot transfer your website to another host because websites are integrated with applications that are specific to us.
Please note that is also against our Terms and Conditions to copy our code elsewhere anyway. However, you’re welcome to take your own content as this belongs to you. The only exception are the images from our image library (this includes images in any pre-designed templates). They may not be posted elsewhere as it breaks the Terms and Conditions agreed to.
I cancelled my website. Can it be reactivated?
Yes, but we will require the payment of a reactivation fee of $275.00.
If I have more questions, who can I ask for help?
Please call us on 1300 853 171 or email one of our team at info@yourfirmonline.com.au.
